Weekly summary and wrap-up (27 Nov 2020)

Hi everyone - thanks for an awesome week! It's such a thrill to get to see you and to work with you again.

So, here's the summary of what we've done this week and what you should have accomplished - if not by the end of the day today then by Sunday night. 1. Vocalise:
  • all analysis completed on score;
  • vowels to be chosen, placed, and submitted by 9 Dec[Please note that you will have class time to complete this on 7 & 8 Dec.]
2. Italian aria:
  • song package given; specific song choices to be made by 7 Dec @ 11:59PM. [Please note that you will be given time to complete this on 7 Dec.];
enter melody of aria into Noteflight (including title/composer, tempo, dynamics, phrasing, lyrics) by 9 Dec @11:59PM. [Please note that you will be given time to complete this on 7 & 8 Dec.]; 3. Recital strategy project:
  • all research/planning complete by end of day today (27 Nov - extended to Sun 29 Nov!);
  • slideshow completed by end of day today (27 Nov - extended to Sun 29 Nov!) - please paste the link to your slideshow in your Google doc...don't forget to share with me!;
  • infographic completed by end of day today (27 Nov - extended to Sun 29 Nov!) - please paste the link to your infographic in your Google doc...don't forget to share with me!;
  • presentation practice will take place in class on 7 Dec;
  • final presentations will be recorded and submitted on 8 Dec.
4. Sonata-allegro form project:
  • Project work to be completed and submitted by end of day today (27 Nov - extended to Sun 29 Nov!) - once finished you should complete your self-evaluation and then "MARK AS DONE"!
5. Composition project:
  • Noteflight score should be completed by end of day today (27 Nov - extended to Sun 29 Nov!);
  • Soundtrap project should be shared with me by end of day today (27 Nov - extended to Sun 29 Nov!);
6. Tech test #4:
  • continue practising as we will need this for the week of 7 Dec.
WOW! You've done a lot of work this week and this will set you up nicely for the rest of the quadmester. Remember: we have one week left before the holiday break; and then two weeks after the break so please stay on top of your work - you can do this! Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!
